When is the YMCA Country Music Kids' Marathon?

Friday, April 25, 2007 is when the registered participants will run, jog, or walk their last mile. Prior to this date the participants should have completed 25.2 miles.

What is the cost?

• $30 per participant thereafter

How do I get an entry form?

Entry forms will be available in the fall at all YMCA of Middle Tennessee locations. You can also request entry forms by email at cmmkids@eliteracing.com, or download the form from our website.

Is there a deadline for getting the registration forms in?

The Kids’ Marathon is limited to 3,000 participants and registration will close once we reach that limit. Register early for savings!

What do I receive for my entry?

Each entrant will receive an Official YMCA Country Music Kids’ Marathon t-shirt, race number, goodie bag, medal, and admission to the Post Race Concert.

Where and when is the Post Race Concert?

All registered YMCA Country Music Kids' marathoners receive free admission to the concert with their race number at the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville. The concert is Saturday April 26 and doors open at 6 pm. Concert tickets are general admission and seating is first-come, first-serve.

How do I keep track of my miles?

Each participant will receive a course map in their confirmation packet for logging miles. Confirmation packets will be mailed in January 2008.

How do I get my T-shirt, race number, and medal?

Each participant should pick up their T-shirt and race number at the Health & Fitness Expo on April 24th or 25th. When they cross the finish line on April 26th they will receive their medal.

Where is the Health & Fitness Expo?

The Country Music Marathon and ½ Marathon Health & Fitness Expo is at the Nashville Convention Center located at 601 Commerce Street, Nashville, TN.

What are the times of the Health & Fitness Expo?

• April 24, 2008 11 am - 6 pm
• April 25, 2008 9 am - 3 pm

How do I get to the Nashville Convention Center?

The Nashville Convention Center is located across from the Sommet Center and The Ryman Auditorium with the entrance on Commerce Street near the Renaissance Hotel. There will be signs directing you to the Expo inside.

Do I have to pick up my race number and t-shirt at the expo?

Yes, you will need to pick up your race number and t-shirt at the Expo on Thursday or Friday. If you are unable to come you can have a friend pick it up for you. If you are participating through a school team, Team Captains will pick up and distribute Race Numbers and T-shirts at School prior to the Expo.

How do I become a volunteer?

Those who want to be volunteers at the Start & Finish Line would need to contact the Nashville Sports Council 615-743-3120 and sign up. Remember you will need to be there prior to participants showing up.

Can my parent run the last mile with me?

Parents may become volunteers and run with the kids on Race Day. Check back for further instructions.

How will I know how to get to the start line?

Included in the confirmation letter will be directions to the start line, map of the start line area and finish line area.

What if I cannot run on April 25th?

If you are unable to run your last mile on April 25th you can still pick up your race number and t-shirt at the Expo. Only those who cross the Marathon finish line will receive their medal.

Am I allowed to participate in the YMCA Kids’ Marathon if I have not completed the 25.2 miles beforehand?

Certainly! Any and all children are welcome to run the final mile of the YMCA Country Music Kids’ Marathon. Just register before the race sells out and join us at the Start Line Friday April 25, 2007.

Can I participate if I don't live in the Nashville area, but will be visiting on April 25?

Of course, we welcome everyone, including the out-of-towners! Just be sure to register before the race sells out and join us at the start line on April 25 to participate in the one mile fun run.

Can we wear our school t-shirts?

Yes. If your school has a special T-shirt printed for the event please refer to the event as the YMCA Country Music Kids’ Marathon or YMCA Kids’ Marathon.

Where do my parents park?

At the LP Field parking lot A, B, or C.
