How to Register
Registering is easy! You may register for the 2010 Country Music Marathon or 1/2 Marathon any of the following ways:

- Request an entry form by mail. Please contact us at the address below and we will be happy to mail a form to you. We do not accept phone entries.
Please enter only once. If you fax or register online, do not mail a hard copy. Do not send multiple faxes or online entries.

Confirmation Sheets
Confirmation Sheets, Final Information and Parking and Shuttle flyers will no longer be mailed to each participant as was done in past years.
Confirmation Sheets will be available on this website on Tuesday, April 21st . Please visit our website at this time and download your confirmation sheet. A reminder email will be sent to all registered participants.
If you did not provide an email address at the time of registration, your materials will be delivered to you via mail and will arrive in mid-April. If you would like to provide your email address so that you can receive your materials via email, please send an email to
cmm@eliteracing.com with your full name, address and email address and we will update your profile.
Follow the Rules
- You must be able to complete the marathon in 7 hours or less.
- You must be able to complete the half marathon in 4 hours or less.
- You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenge of a marathon or a half marathon.
- You must be at least 18 years old to participate in the Country Music Marathon and at least 12 years old to participate in the Country Music Half Marathon.
- Race numbers are required to participate.
- Coaches, baby-joggers, bikes, dogs, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will not be allowed on the course.
Changing Races/Corrals
Switch from the ½ Marathon to the Marathon
Before March 13th: Upgrades from the ½ Marathon to the Marathon will be accepted via email and phone until March 13th. The early upgrade fee is $20.
After March 13th: If you would like to switch from the ½ Marathon to the Marathon, you will need to pay a $35 upgrade fee at the Expo. Please pick up your half marathon race number and proceed to the “Marathon Upgrade” table.
Switch from the Marathon to the ½ Marathon
Before March 13th: If you would like to switch from the Marathon to the ½ Marathon, simply email your first name, last name, the mailing address that you registered with, and your new predicted finish time to cmm@eliteracing.com.
After March 13th: If you decide to switch from the Marathon to the ½ Marathon, simply take the ½ Marathon course and your timing tag will reflect the change. You can visit the corral change table in the registration area of the Expo for information on the appropriate corral to start in.
Corral Changes
Before March 13th: If you would like to change your corral/predicted finish time for the Marathon or ½ Marathon, please email cmm@eliteracing.com and provide your request along with your first name, last name and the mailing address that you registered with.
After March 13th: If your training has gone better than expected, and you would like to move up to a faster corral, pick up your race number at the Health & Fitness Expo and then proceed to the “Corral Change” table to be re-assigned to the appropriate corral. To move back to a slower corral, simply start in that corral on race morning. No official corral change is necessary.
Wheelchair Program and Protocol
Racing Wheelchair Division (Marathon Only)
Start in front of the Elite start line 5 minutes prior to runners’ race.
People's Standard Wheelchairs (Full and Half Marathon)
Start in the appropriate corrals for your projected finish time / pace.
No Handcycle Division
Due to safety issues on the course, and in accordance with International Paralympic Committee rules, NO handcycles (handbikes, handcrank devices or other mechanically gear driven devices) will be permitted in the race.
Racing Wheelchair Division Rules
- Racing wheelchairs shall be defined as a customized performance chair.
IPC Athletics Rules will be enforced. For additional rules view: www.ipc-athletics.org.
- Furthermore the race will abide by the rules and policies of the recognized governing bodies of the sports of wheelchair racing, which do not allow the use of mechanical gears found on handbikes. For additional information contact: Wheelchair Sports USA www.wsusa.org and the International Paralympic Committee www.ipc-athletics.org.
Everyday Wheelchairs
- Everyday wheelchairs shall be defined as a stock manual wheelchair.
- The wheelchair shall have at least four functional wheels.
- The overall length of the chair from outside of front casters/wheels to outside of rear wheel shall not exceed 100cm.
- The rear wheels shall not exceed 70 cm in diameter. The front caster/wheels shall not exceed 8 inches/ 17.6 cm in diameter.
- The rear seat height must be greater than 30 cm (13.6 inches). Persons of small stature may be exempt.
- Only one plain round hand rim is allowed for each rear wheel. This rule may be waived for persons requiring a single arm drive chair.
- No mechanical gears or levers shall be allowed. The chair must be manually propelled.
- All chairs are subject to a rules and safety inspection.
- Runners and walkers in all races will have the right of way. Wheelchair racers shall yield to runners or walkers.
- It will be the athlete’s responsibility to meet the above rules.

Cancellation Policies
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Sorry, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year.
If you registered and are unable to participate in the race, we will be happy to mail your participant T-shirt to you. Please fill out and submit the Cancellation/T-shirt Request Form. Participant T-shirts will be mailed approximately 4-6 weeks after the event.
